Install Retro Pie On Mint/Ubuntu/Debian

Finding it hard to track down all the old retro gaming systems to play the classics? Now you can have them all in one place!

Follow the instructions below to install Retro Pie;

Update and upgrade the existing APT packages:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

Install the RetroPie packages for the script:

sudo apt install -y git dialog

Download the latest RetroPie setup script:

git clone –depth=1 https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup.git

Enter the folder with the setup script:

cd RetroPie-Setup

The script is executed with:

sudo ./retropie_setup.sh

The screen should like this:

Select basic install.

Once it is installed go to your RetroPie directory and insert your rom into its game folder.
